Medicine Information
Active Ingredient: Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg
Use: Relief of diarrhoea including loose motions.
Warnings: Do not use:
- in children under 12 years of age
- for longer than 48 hours
- if you are allergic to Loperamide or any other medicine containing loperamide
- if you are constipated, or if constipation should be avoided
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use:
- if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- if you have a fever, severe stomach pain, or notice blood in your stool
Directions for Use:
Adults & Children over 12 years:
- Initial dose: 2 capsules with water
- Follow-up dose: 1 capsule with water after each loose bowel motion as needed. Do not exceed 8 capsules in 24 hours.
Contains Sulfites and Sugars (as lactose).
Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated, as fluid and electrolyte depletion may occur with diarrhoea. If dehydration is suspected seek medical attention.
If diarrhoea persists, worsens or if new symptoms appear after 2 days of treatment, seek medical advice as soon as possible.
- If you have an ongoing condition affecting the bowel
- pain, or notice blood in your stool
